The World's First Global Mobile Operator

With offices worldwide, and subscribers in 150+ countries

POND mobile was founded in 2011 to fill a void in the consumer telecom space created by increasing global mobility because of smartphones and integrated global networks. In the early 2000s, International Roaming was challenging, confusing, and expensive. The options were limited, support was nonexistent, and carrying a wallet filled with SIM cards was the only way to have a local presence (and affordable service) in foreign countries. To address these issues, POND created its World Phone Plans

  • 2011

    • POND mobile launches with headquarters in New Jersey
    • POND mobile Introduces “No Borders” Plans for consumers and Global Data Plans
    • POND mobile opens an office in Moscow, Russia

  • 2012

    • POND mobile opens an office in Latvia
    • Launch of World Plans – First MVNO to have an International Rate Plan that covers 200+ countries/destinations at a fixed price
    • Launch of International local numbers for all POND Customers

  • 2013

    • Launch of Smart Caller ID—allowing customers to display their International number when calling specific countries
    • POND mobile opens an office in Kyiv, Ukraine
    • POND mobile opens a satellite office in London, UK

  • 2014

    • POND mobile partners with phone manufacturer Vertu
    • Dream Phone launches an exclusive members-only club and chooses POND mobile as its exclusive International Telecom Provider

  • 2015

    • POND mobile partners with Naked Heart Foundation, a UK-based charity
    • POND mobile opens a satellite office in Dubai, UAE

  • 2016

    • POND mobile teams up with Formula One driver Daniil Kvyat to launch Kvyat Racing—allowing fans to follow Daniil and purchase POND services
    • Launch of PONDfone, an application that provides free calls to Pond Mobile’s Data-only subscribers
     

  • 2017

    • POND mobile opens a satellite office in Koln, Germany
    • POND mobile opens a satellite office in Almaty, Kazakhstan

  • 2018

    • POND was chosen by its partner Aspera Explorations as the Telecom provider for Porsche World Expedition on the most difficult AFRICA stage

  • 2019

    • POND mobile launches 5G service in the United States
    • POND mobile sponsors NYE event at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL

  • 2021

    • POND mobile announces new “World Phone” plans. All World Phone plans now provide UNLIMITED International Data in over 210 countries/destinations around the globe

  • 2023

    • POND becomes an Authorized Starlink and Peplink Solutions Provider
